I must be playing too many zombie video games because I had a vision of myself and my dog caught in a zombie trap. I added a title (font that I tweaked) because it seemed to like a comic book. Brainsssssss. Cheers.
Ok, I've manage to add some colors to this, and correct the freakishly long left leg she had in the sketch. Still a few things awkward but oh well on to the next thing.
Another Project Rooftop re-design, this time it is Aquaman. I haven't changed too much in terms of the silhoette but I really wanted him to have a more serious look. He's tired of being laughed and pushed to the side. He's back in almost black! Mostly dark green (skin tight) with his signature orange and gold as hilights. He's slightly longer torso as I was aiming for an Olympic swimmers build and with some attitude!
Well, managed to finish that Captain America and even submitted it to Project Rooftop. The inking stage went thru some slight changes in proportion. The coloring stage, just kept a muted slightly desaturated color scheme to get a more realistic feel. Again this version was based on a SWAT look and I wanted to have a strong sense of authority. Captain America, one-man Ass-kicking machine!
Captain America coming over to kick your ass...run. I tried to give Cap a one-man swat team look. He's the one you call in to get things done! Sketch stage so hope i actually finish this.
Well, Happy New Year! First illustration friday in a long long while...Renewal...paying some homage to Pixar "Renewal" is the word and its presented by a character similar to eve.
"If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." -M.Jordan
Illustration Friday. forced myself to break and make time to do something. Wrinkle is last fridays word. Just thought of those cool old carnival characters like dogboy or "the man with a thousand wrinkles".
Illustration Friday, a little late but took a quick break to loosen my mind. I can imagine seeing Superman take his first leap across tall buildings. I think the scale is abit off but oh well. Cheers!
Illustration Friday, missed the last couple so finally got a chance to have fun. "Choose" is the word, this little hobbit can choose to run or to help his friends. The mountain seems dark and scary but his courage will conquer all.
Illustration Fridays, the word is Grow. I think I did a wooden boy on one of my first posts...but it's a coincidence I swear. He's all grown up but nothing changes...
Illustration Friday. Extremes, this seems like a good example. I've heard of urban legends on this method of tooth removal. Maybe it's something I've blocked from my childhood memory. Hmm...
Illustration Friday...Open! A little late this week, thanksgiving came and went. As things start to get spooky, approach with caution if something is opening...
Illustration Friday. "The Blues" , it sneaks up on us and sometimes we can't do anything but deal with it. Eventually it will pass and we can look forward to clear skies again.
Illustration Friday. "Juggle", this one is for all the moms that have to juggle a baby, dishes, dinner, the phone, and maybe a dog. Thanks for being there!
Illustration Friday...I cant' believe my last post was in january...it's been busy. So in that time I saw Spiderman 3. It's ok but could've been great if they just went with one villian. The word last week was "Suit". Here's Peter trying to resist the black suit.
Illustration Friday, do you know this guy? It's not Spiderman, Superman, or Batman...It's Aquaman! He gets no respect, he is the last guy to be picked. No one wants to be a guy whos' powers is to communicate with fish. Well, this one is for you big A! Keep doing whatcha do'in and keep it real! Cheers.
Illustration Friday 2007! First of the new year and hope to do more than last year. Buzz is the word and just the thought of it brings back the fear! Cheers.
Well, it has been a busy year...haven't really been able to do as much of my own artwork as I had hoped to do. Maybe a little break will get things started on the right foot. Happy Holidays everyone and thx for visiting. Keep on drawing!
This was a nod to the luchadore wrestlers. Photoshop.
